A Cross-national Comparison of Disability Policies and Organisations for and of Disabled People in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia

This study was compiled by the European Platform for Rehabilitation as an aid in its efforts to locate and contact potential new member organisations in Central and Eastern Europe. The study also serves the more general purpose of providing a reliable and convenient directory of policies and contacts in these seven countries.
The report describes the rehabilitation sector and disability policies in each country explaining the legal domain regulating the matter of social services and service providers/employers including reference to the main laws, rules and regulations. The particular law for the integration of disabled people in each country is explained in more detail. There is also a special part focusing on vocational education, training and employment. Contact details and main activities of the key organisations representating disabled people and service providers/employers of disabled people are listed.
A great number of references to further on-line sources of information complements the information on each country.
